Where are the Words…
It has been such a long time since I have written here…
Where are the words to speak about what I have been experiencing?
So many changes, like a whirlwind descending… lifting…moving… rearranging. It is a gift, whether it be taken as a joy or a suffering.
It is for me to learn to rejoice in both joy and suffering… It is for all of us to learn to rejoice in both joy and suffering.
For both are from our heavenly Father, and because of His very intimate love for each one of us, we know that both are for our good. Both are ordained for each one of us that we might be made perfect in Christ.
So often I feel that what I write on my blogs is so trivial. There is so much evil abounding in the “world” right now, that only knowing the “tip of the ice berg” is enough to send us into confusion, depression, and doubt. What I’ve come to realize over the last months is that the “world” as presented by the media is like a huge soap opera. Staged deliberately, perhaps, to keep the masses in constant turmoil. We think we live in a land of freedom when actually we are ruled by fear. How many things do we conform to because we are afraid of the threats of fines, imprisonment, or death. Are we afraid to speak the truth because it is now considered a “hate crime”, for instance.
What we need to make real in our lives is the TRUTH. The TRUTH will set you free! “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:32
Truths like what Paul advises in Colossians 3:1-11 “If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory. Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: For which things’ sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience: In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them. But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth. Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him: Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.“
Or what John tells us in Revelation 18:4 “And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.”
Take heed, brothers and sisters in Christ…we are not to live like the “world”! Many of us have come out of many things, but don’t stop there…keep coming out as TRUTH is revealed to you.
One thing that I think everyone should not take lightly is the fact that man has changed the times and the laws of God.
“And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.“
How dare they? How dare we? What makes us think that we can just arbitrarily change times and laws to suit our fancy? I would have to say it is the enemy of Christ…
Jesus is unchanging… “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.” Hebrews 13:8
As Paul says in Colossians… SEEK THOSE THINGS WHICH ARE ABOVE… Never tire of doing things God’s way. Realize that we have been lied to about almost everything. Question everything. Bring it to the Father in prayer. Be willing to forsake what is not true…to walk away from it without compromising.
“And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.” Luke 21:28
Look up…lift up your heads…
Seek those things which are above…
